Humboldt Park Man Shot & Robbed by Masked Gunman

Around 4 a.m., a man was shot on the 2500 block of West Chicago Ave., in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood.

The victim was walking with a friend when the gunman approached, asked him for his money, and shot him. The thief fled the scene on foot, northbound from Rockwell and Chicago Ave., with the victim’s wallet.

Police are looking for a light skinned African-American or Latino male, approximately 20-years-old, 6-feet-tall, and very thin. At the time of the robbery, the assailant was wearing a black ski mask and blue jeans.

The victim was shot in upper, left thigh and was said to be in stable condition.
