Cops: Rogers Park gunman takes man’s shoes

An armed robber took a man’s shoes in Chicago’s Far North Side, Rogers Park neighborhood, said police.

The incident occurred on the 2000 block of West Jarvis Avenue, near Jarvis and Damen, around 10:29 p.m.

A black male offender -- armed with a black pistol and wearing a dark-colored, fleece hoodie and shorts pants -- threw the victim on the ground and put a gun to his head, said police.

Investigators said the violent thug stole the man’s shoes and his wallet.

After the robbery, the suspect fled eastbound on Jarvis, then northbound on Damen, said police.

At the time of this report, the mugger was still at large.
