Sunday, around 2:30 a.m., a man was beaten and robbed in an alley behind 3420 North Clark Street, between Newport and Roscoe, said officials.
The address belongs to a restaurant called Al’s Beef.
Investigators said nine to ten black males, between the ages of 16 to 18-years-old, attacked the victim and stole his cell phone and a wallet containing $200.
If you witnessed any suspicious activity in this area during the time this robbery occurred, please contact the police.

Never seen that area so screwed up. The whole North side has been getting really, really bad. You can blame Ex-Mayor Daley for knocking down all those Chicago Housing Authority buildings (THE PROJECT'S) and spreading the garbage all over Chicago & the surrounding suburbs.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe these residents here (especially homeowners) are so complacent. The businesses too but I understand they have to protect their pocket book but I'm certainly not opening mine to them anymore.
It's a big city, yes. But I would have never, ever guessed this was Chicago's style of "lakefront living" especially with these housing prices. It's not going to hold up much longer. There are newer construction condos for rent.
These all hail "diversity" people here got what they wanted though. Have these people brought anything to better the neighborhood? Are they spending money at your businesses? Are they good neighbors? Have they shown good faith to at least try to assimilate?
A man robbing people at gunpoint in front of a $390K condo and the owners response is "well, these things just happen" and a day later are whining because they can't refinance as the highest appraised value is now $320K. Part of this is due to the economy but I sure as H would be chasing those guns off my front porch because that place will be worth about $200K in 4 years. Knowing what I know, I wouldn't offer more than $175K for it right now.
They all better put the weed down and get off their "liberal" as*ses around here.

ReplyDeleteThe former project residents have mostly been relocated to entire ghetto neighborhoods now.
What we're now seeing now on the northside is uncivil urban black criminal predators coming to Lake View to prey upon white people - without fear of prosecution.
Why aren't our aldermen DEMANDING stricter police enforecement of our existing laws?

Do you know why this is happening in the north side and even in the "nicer neighborhoods"? It's because police manpower is very low and the crooks have figured that out. In most north side districts in 2000 they had close to 400 officers assigned to each district. Today it's anywhere from 150 to 220. In the south and west sides though they have plenty of officers. It's because our alderman and mayor say "they need more officers". Well where do you think the crooks, the thugs, etc... are going to ply their trade?
