Cops: Rogers Park ‘gang banger’ punches woman, takes cell phone

A male offender, identified as a known gang member by authorities, punched a woman in the face and took her iPhone, said police.

The strong arm robbery occurred around 12:23 a.m. on the 6900 block of North Paulina Street, near Paulina and Morse, in Chicago’s Far North Side, Rogers Park neighborhood.

Authorities identified the suspect as Jesse or Jess, a Viking street gang member who frequents the area of Morse and Greenview Avenues.

Jesse is Hispanic, about 5’7” with a medium complexion, and was last seen wearing a blue and white shirt and short pants.

At the time of this report, the cell phone thief was still at large.

  1. There's no crime in Rogers Park!!!! What are you talking about? Certainly not on beautiful Morse. You must be mistaken. This young man is probably a PhD student from Loyola. The woman should give him her cell phone anyway. He deserves it.
