Tuesday, a female victim was reportedly mugged at a Near North Side park, according to police dispatch.
At 7:49 p.m., a robbery was reported at Mariano Park, 1031 North State Street, near State Street and Bellevue Place.
Citing police communications, three female black offenders snatched a woman’s purse.
The crooks fled in the scene in a taxicab, said police dispatch.

ReplyDeleteWhenever I see spooks in that area I know they are predators. There is no legitimate reason for a spook to be in such a white neighborhood.

the prob is the media ignoring the constant thefts and muggings, and failing to report descriptions of suspects, leaves tourists defenceless...just cos it looks like a nice park...same at Chicago avenue, they walk out the station with luggage, then whip out a laptop or Iphone to check where they are....waving it around. meaning where I live is now full of predatory muggers. I remember YEARS AGO watching a purse snatching by Barneys, on Rush, and out of the crowd a cop came outta nowhere and took the mugger down. Where are the cops now? and do any of these cops look like they could actually 'react' fast enough to address a mugging? or do they look like pensioners?
