Around 8:12 p.m., gunfire was reported on the 1600 block of West North Shore Avenue, near North Shore and Ashland; and on the 6700 block of North Bosworth Avenue, near Bosworth and North Shore.
Prior to the purported shootings, citizens reported six to seven male Hispanics in the area flashing gang signs.
One eyewitness described the shooter as a male Hispanic, approximately 5’3”, and 130 pounds.
A second witness said the shooter is closer to 5’6” and was dressed in all black clothing.
During their investigation, responding officers were reportedly told that two male Hispanics were seen running through an alley behind the 1700 block of West North Shore Avenue, around 8:16 p.m.
As of 8:40 p.m., there was no indication that shell casing were found the area of the alleged shootings, nor were there any reports of injuries or property damage.

For those who don't know, The Latin Kings and the Ashland Vikings are in that area. This area covers Field Elementary School and Sullivan High School about 3.5 miles from Lakeview High. Watch your asses because things like this happen quite a bit over there. What's bad about it is the Police Station is right down the street on Clark and Devon. How can so much stuff happen when there's a Police Station like RIGHT THERE?
