
A man walking through a South Side neighborhood park was robbed at gunpoint. The next day, a man involved in a seemingly unrelated incident was arrested for carrying a fake gun.
On Saturday, December 10, 2011, at 6:10 p.m., two unknown male offenders robbed a man at gunpoint in Nichols Park at 1355 East 53rd Street.
According to the UCPD, both suspects are still at large.
On Sunday, December 11, 2011, around 2:34 p.m., a man was arrested for carrying a concealed replica handgun.
The suspect was arrested on the 6000 block of South Dorchester Avenue, near Midway Plaisance Park.
It appears the suspect was reported by a 3rd party caller.
Note: The University of Chicago Police Department never releases information regarding the race of the suspects.
