Did you hear the one about the two female customers who walked into a Greenwich Village, New York, McDonald's and had to carried out on stretchers?
Thursday, October 13, 2011, around 12:30 a.m., two female customers, Denise Darbeau and Rachel Edwards, both 24, went the McDonald's at 136 West 3rd Street in New York.
When they tried to pay for their food with a 50 dollar bill, cashier, Rayon McIntosh, 31, said he needed to make sure the bill wasn't counterfeit.
Denise Darbeau, whom eyewitnesses described as "masculine" and "aggressive", became enraged and slapped McIntosh in the face.
When Darbeau and Edwards went behind the McDonald's counter to further confront McIntosh, they got the beating of their lives.
McIntosh, armed with a long metal rod or pipe, beat the women into a submissive, bloody pulp.
As McIntosh delivered his bone shattered blows, a female customer frantically screamed, "Stop it! Stop! Stop! Call the fucking cops!"
According to one report, Darbeau, the woman who slapped McIntosh, received a broken arm and a fractured skull. Edwards walked away with a deep cut.
Darbeau and Edwards were charged with menacing, trespassing, and disorderly conduct.
McIntosh was arrested and his bail was set at $40,000.
Authorities say McIntosh once served ten years in prison for shooting a 17-year-old classmate to death.
Chicago News Report contacted the McDonald's. This what they had to say:
“I am extremely disturbed by the events captured on tape and I am concerned for those injured. The actions of this individual are unacceptable and not characteristic of my employees. This individual no longer works for my organization.
Operating safe, welcoming restaurants is my top priority. I am fully cooperating with authorities in the investigation.”

ReplyDeleteHow is MCD setting new 52 week highs every month, while offering no security in their establishments? Don't these lawsuits pile up after a while? Not to mention a lot of Americans outright boycotting the establishment.
At this point, it is hard to tell which is more dangerous: the premises or the food...
They have security at the McDonalds at Wilson & Sheridan. It's always a fun adventure in there.

If he served ten years in Prison, I can understand why he felt the need to defend his life from two people coming (behind the counter in violation) to attack him.
ReplyDeleteWhat I want to know is WAS THE FIFTY DOLLAR BILL REAL or BOGUS? If I presented a clerk with a fifty dollar bill and it was questioned, I'd simply say, "Well, check it out, but my food is getting cold, so please hurry.", and I'd WAIT. IF my food got cold because of a long delay, I'd request a new order. Of course, I'm an honest citizen.

Mr. McIntosh should not have been fired. He was trying to defend himself after he was slapped and the two women went behind the counter to further attack and intimidate him. Unfortunately, he lost control - adrenaline was rushing. I am sure they will think twice before they slap and attack someone else. Good for Mr. McIntosh.
ReplyDeleteHow is his old record relevant in this situation? Obviously, he has paid his debt to society and is trying to make a new and honest life for himself. I wonder if he would have been fired if his criminal record had not been discovered or he did not have one.
Too bad the transgender female in a McDonald's restaurant did not have someone like that to come to her rescue when beaten so badly she had a seizure.

I'm a white, middle-aged man and do not condone any such actions, but DO BELIEVE Mr. McIntosh has the right to defend himself! This is NOT a race thing...this is America and there's not a state in our country which doesn't allow defending yourself against attack! His past has NOTHING to do with this...and if the NY justice system doesn't exhonerate him...SHAME on their crappy justice system!

ReplyDeleteIn Cowboy country, these two women completely deserved what they got. Had they not been beaten into submission, Mr. MrMcIntosh might be victimized instead. If anyone comes into my house aggressively, I would make sure that they are unconscious first.

but anyhow, if it was me doing that, and i hit the women with whatever and they droped from first hit, sucessfully fending off the inital attack/charge, i wouldnt need to continue hitting them. believe me, they know whats up at that point, they would be in ur full control and just wanting to leave, and if not, u already know ur ability to use that defense is far superior to those 2 women, if u had to, hit em again. but before i had to do all that, i would be backing away or getting the other guys to help make sure the 2 be good.
i mean if hes very unintelligent i could understand why he would continue beating them, if it is an actual powerful weapon, simply because hes really dumb.

so really depending on what type of weapon he was using and the damage it had and was infliction, such as its weight and structure, so for the sake of the matter lets say it was "deadly" which an heavy iron bar swung with speed and force at the head is, if he was. lolol....(yeah fuck me, i know).
then he acted way out of line and maliciously after droping them, totally unresonably, and should himself be charged for such ignorance and behavior.
there is defending yourself, and yes i 100% agree you have the right to do so, but its also 100% situational, its not a line of black and white(not skin color lol), as alota ignorant mother fuckers will disagree with me (these are the unintelligent people im talking about). and self defense should be used properly and consideratly used depending on the situation.
did they have guns or weapons? where they reaching for them again or striking at him after they where droped causing him to hit them again? then yes, hit em again. but if they where not and ur buddies lookin at u like whoa dude wtf, people are yelling stop, maby u should stop acting like an ignorant psycho n stop trying to club the life from a now defenseless woman.
if its really that bad and all those pretend "assumptions" are correct, he would deserve a few years for sure. 3-5 years, would be more imo but yes it started with defending himself in a situation offenders created, so 3-5 is on the money, that or atleast lots of mental ward time, as well as some jail time and house arrest. else he will find himself in another situation doing the same unnecessarily violent and deadly behavior
or if they where, and the weapon was not, depending on what really went on there, it was legitimate and nessicary, but idk, it doesnt look that way even tho i cant get a good look, it did look like his buddy was like wtf wanting to make him stop but confused or scared, i dont know.
give the women a little time, they already got a good lesson, maby a few months to think about acting that way.

ReplyDeleteI work behind a counter EXACTLY like he does; he SHOULD have caused them to need MULTIPLE amputations - NOT just a few measly broken bones.
The Public thinks it's OK to treat minimum wage workers (like Rayon and Me) like S H Y T (for fun!!).
Thanks to what Rayon has taught me, I now carry a medium sized HEAVY crowbar with me to work.

Too bad the video isn't clearer. But if I have it right, two big women slap an employee, then jump the counter to really mess him up good. He responds with a metal object and beats them to the ground, and adds a few extra hits for good measure. End of story. Sounds like a good training video for future employees. ReplyDeleteI was once in jail and met a woman who was locked up for defending herself against a cab driver who was trying to kidnap and rape her. What was her charge? Beating him, kicking him out of the car and driving off in the taxi to the nearest police station. That was my lesson on "The Justice System" 101!

I'm a woman and was beaten (domestic violence) and I still believe that if a woman is big and bad enough to hit a man because she thinks she can or ASSUMES that he won't hit back and he does... GOOD FOR HER! that's what you get! Never ever get to high for your bridges! He SHOULD NOT be locked up for defending himself and his past record should NOT be brought up. Just sucks that in the American Justice system, it will and he will be deemed a menace to society. #it's-sickening
