The victim was shot outside 329 North Laramie Avenue; about a block south of the Laramie CTA “L” station, said police.
The gunman was described a male black wearing dark-colored clothing and a mask.
After the shooting, the triggerman ran westbound through an alley near 334 North Laramie, said authorities.
Moments after the shooting, citizens at two different addresses on the 900 block of North Laramie, reported a suspicious man frantically trying to gain entry into their apartment buildings.
According to an officer at the scene, the shooing victim, who was shot in the back and leg, was in stable condition.
