Edgewater: Man stabbed in the neck


At approximately 9:47 p.m., a stabbing occurred on Chicago's North Side, said police.

According to police dispatch, a man was stabbed in the neck on the 5500 block of North Sheridan Road, near Sheridan and Catalpa.

The 33-year-old male victim was walking on the east side of Sheridan Road, north of Catalpa Avenue, when the stabbing occurred, said authorities.

According to one source, the victim said he did not see his attacker.

An ambulance was requested around 9:52 p.m.

The victim's condition was not disclosed.

  1. Oh, right out on a main road before midnight in one of Chicago's "nicer" areas.....on the lakefront. Classy. Could have been me.

    In most other cities, rents go for about $400/mo. and houses sell for about $40K in the areas people are getting stabbed and killed (yeah, killed - the one on Berwyn, I saw him fall to the ground). I really don't see what the attraction is here - at all.
