2011 Chicago Air and Water Show further delayed due to weather

If you are on the lakefront waiting for the 2011 Chicago Air and Water Show to begin, you may be waiting for at least another 30 minutes, or so.

According to the police officers assigned to the area, a thunderstorm looming between Chicago and Gary, Indiana, has pushed the performance back, again.

The 5-hour show, originally scheduled to start at 10 a.m. and last until 3 p.m., may be cut to 3 hours, said one source.

The latest word is that the show will start at 1 p.m.

At point, there were rumors the show might be canceled, because of the weather.

If more information becomes available, this article will be updated accordingly.
