Shooting in North Center neighborhood


Gunshots were fired in Chicago’s North Center neighborhood, around 12:05 a.m.

Shots were fired at a home at 1825 West Byron Street near Byron and Ravenswood Avenue, said police.

According to an eyewitness, the shooter exited an older model, silver Nissan Altima, and fire an estimated six shots.

The gunman fled the scene westbound on Byron, said authorities.

A detailed description of the shooter was not provided.

At the time of this report, no juries were reported.

  1. I believe this may be the same car I've seen near Damen and Addison, visiting someone on the 1900 block of Patterson. Four or five young people in a car like the one described above. The driver was a young, very tall and thin black man. When the were getting back in the car approx. two weeks ago the tall thin guy made a gesture as if he was pointing a gun toward the sky and shooting. Not certain he had a gun in his hand but the gesture was very clear.
