Lakeview deer injured

The deer that had all of Lakeview abuzz, has been injured.

Last week, the little critter was spotted on the 600 block of West Barry Avenue and on the 700 block of West Briar Place.

Last night, around 11:18 p.m., the deer was at 727 West Briar Place.

An officer at the scene said the deer was limping and one of its legs was injured.

The proper authorities were notified.

According to police dispatch, Animal Control said they would be there in the morning.

Let's hope Bambi's mom makes it through the night.

  1. Poor guy, I hope that Animal Control can get him/her somewhere that he can recover. There is another one that has been hanging out in Rogers Park. Decided today to hang out in someone's fenced in yard.

  3. Is this the deer that had to two babies too? If so, I saw the pawns (07/04/2011) in the cemetery across from Graceland Cemetery. They were alone with no sign of a parent. :-(

I hope he/she came back to the babies after I left.
