Shoplifters hit 'The North Face' store on Michigan Avenue

Two thieves walked into a Michigan Avenue retailer and took advantage of a five-finger discount.

A black man and a black woman snatched several articles of clothing from The North Face store at 875 North Michigan Avenue, around 5:23 p.m.

The brazen crooks didn’t even bother to take the merchandise off the hangers, said police.

The male suspect is about 6-feet-tall and was wearing a light-colored hooded sweatshirt. His female accomplice has a dark complexion.

No further details are available.

    This may not be "PC" ...not that I care but, suspicious looking black people shopping in the stores on Michigan Ave. are there for ONE reason only..to rip the store off. SO, if I were an employee of those stores, I'd watch them like a hawk..People need to be paying more attention to the type of people who walk in there doors. Acknowledgement as soon as they walk in the door says "I see you" and changes the intent. PAY ATTENTION! It's getting to the point that stores need to have a security person at the door all the time, which costs money that gets passed on to people like you and me who ACTUALLY pay for our purchases.
