Man injured in hit and run car accident on Near North Side


A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Chicago's Near North Side.

The hit and run car accident was reported at 6:05 p.m.

A man, said to be 40 to 50-years-old, was hit by a car on the 800 block of North Orleans Street, near Orleans and Chicago Avenue.

An officer observed the injured man lying in the street and immediately requested an ambulance.

Witnesses saw a blond, white woman driving a champagne-colored Cadillac hit the pedestrian.

After the apparent accident, the female offender jumped into another vehicle.

    I hope this man will be ok and the coward driver will own what she did!
