Man stabbed during robbery in Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood


A man was stabbed during an apparent robbery attempt on Chicago’s South Side, said police.

The incident occurred around 4 a.m. at 720 East 79th Street, in the Greater Grand Crossing Neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side.

The man was sitting in a car with a woman when the stabbing occurred, said authorities.

The victim, a 32-yer-old African-American man, was taken to Christ Hospital. His condition was not disclosed.

The female offender was arrested and taken to the 6th District Chicago Police Station, 7808 South Halsted Street.

No further details are available.
