ReplyDeleteI think that here should be random stops and pat-downs on the red line-crime line-after 10:00pm. The focus should be from sheridan and irving to fullerton. Every young african american male should be pat-down after 12:00am at the following stops; Addison, Belmont, Fullerton.

MissBee, while i agree with you that some of those prior posts are racist you have to remember it is extremely frustrating to live amongst so much violance.
ReplyDeleteI live in Lakeview and so far this year within a 4 block radius over 25 people have been attacked THAT I know of. That is about once every three days in my little 4 block radius part of Lakeview. Of those 25, 24 of them were done by black people.
It is not safe to walk at night especially the side streets. Night after night groups of these ghetto thugs come into Lakeview and wander around. In addition to the violance there is also the anti-social and just plain bad attitude. It all around sucks.
What's with the racism against Asians by black people? My friend is Asian and he gets called a Chinese faggot, he is neither Chinese nor gay, also these ghetto thugs make comments about him when he walks by these groups, or these wonders pretend to talk Chinese to him while making faces at him. Does it happen everyday? Nope not at all but it has happened more than enough times.
I can't even walk down my own street without fear. I live in a courtyard building that has no locks on it's gate and don't want to end up like my neighbor who had his jaw crushed in an attack in the courtyard nor do I want to end up like another neighbor who had his head kicked in by 5-6 people. He was on the ground with his head in the corner and was repeatedly kicked and kicked unconscious with his head being banged up against the corner brick wall.
The violance is unreal. It never ends. It's gets tiring. 98% of the violance is done by black people here in Lakeview. I can't walk down my own street at night. Imagine if packs of people from Lakeview went down to Southshore and attacked people? National news maybe.
So while those posts may have been rude and wrong they are just posts on a blog, what we experience in our neighborhood is not text on a blog but real life violance every single day with the great possibility of being severely injured.
For the past fifty years, Black on Black Crime was/is the "majority" of the crimes. For the past fifty years, "we" had/have the same solutions: more programs, more sociological/psychological excuses, more community activists, more preachers, more preachers, etc. Generally speaking, how can communities with churches on "every block" have so much crime?

I will always be proud of who I am and where I come from. I work hard every day for me and mine. But black is not the ONLY thing I am...I am a woman, latino, french, a mother, red-headed, kindhearted, all of that AND a bag of chips! ;) Even so, hell, maybe I am a racist too, because I KNOW my eyes and ears IMMEDIATELY prick up when a group of black, saggy pants, weed-smelling, thugs come anywhere near me. Shoot, that is just common doggone sense! You would be a dadblasted fool NOT to perk up and have your finger blazed on 911 when they walk by. When I pack my purse, I am like, "Lipstick, keys, wallet, mace, pepper spray and knife." However, at the risk of sounding entirely hypocritical, I do not want my son subjected to any type of treatment like that. That is why I try my best to raise him right. So when you SEE him, you will not automatically assume that he IS a ghetto thug. So do not TREAT him like he IS. Now mind you, he is not perfect, but I know I wish he WOULD come up in my house smelling like Mary Jane and his pants hanging off his rear end! Somebody will have to call the "peoples" on me and he is 6'2". I DO NOT PLAY THAT! However, I digress.....
The point IS: I don't have any problem with facts being stated. It is just when you crucify the entire race is when I have a problem and get my bloomers in a knot. And talking about patting down every black kid on the EL will do it because that is about as stupid as it comes...just the same as my example comments regarding the Columbine tragedy, etc. were and that is the REAL POINT here. Again, RACISM and STUPIDITY BREEDS NOTHING BUT CONTEMPT, HEARTACHE AND MALCONTENT. There is no room for it in my world and it shouldn't be any room for it in the real one. Some things should be based more on INDIVIDUALISM AND NOT RACISM no matter how much the majority rules.

Boyyy, I tell ya! My kids keep me hopping! When I see their little acronyms and terms, I immediately ask them what they mean and google them myself to be sure they are not on any "funny business." I don't want ANY surprises. And, I definitely don't care if they get mad at me about being "all up in their business." As far as I am concerned, until you can take care of yourself SUFFICIENTLY, you don't HAVE any business. Still, when you have teenagers and young adults, you had better be ready. And Towanda on that SN: again, you are absolutely right....if you are not ready to RAISE children for a LIFETIME, don't HAVE children. Mothering/Fathering shouldn't stop when your children "numerically" become adults or when your welfare/public aid/child support check cuts off. This is one of the MAIN reasons WHY the ghetto thugs are running rampant. And, again, people, that is not racism, that is FACT.
