A pizza delivery driver for Bella’s Pizza & Restaurant, 658 North Ashland Avenue, was beaten and robbed while attempting to make a delivery.

Around 9:54 p.m., the driver was attacked by four African-American teenage boys at an apartment building at 2135 West Warren Boulevard, said police.

One of the offenders struck the driver in the face.

The offenders were described as 14 to 17-years-old.

Authorities found an empty pizza bag on the street, near the corner of Warren and Leavitt.

  1. Takes 4 "african americans to rob one person. What a bunch of cowards. Pretty soon NONE of us will be able to get delivery because of these parasites! We need a helluva lot more cops than 2000 to get this city back from these ghetto thugs, that's for sure. Oh, I forgot "crime is down" LMAO!

  2. Towanda, I feel sorry for anyone who works with the public. Especially, employees who handle cash or merchandise - they are sitting ducks.

That pizza delivery driver was out making an honest living, when lazy punks robbed and assaulted him. Sad.
