Not one, but two cars, were stolen in front of a South Side Chicago neighborhood corner store.

The auto-theft occurred around 9:15 p.m. at 2523 East 79th Street. The address belongs to a business called 79th Kingston Food, Inc.

The drivers of both vehicles left their engines running, while the cars “warmed up”, said police. Thieves jumped into the unattended automobiles and drove away.

One of the stolen vehicles is described a silver, four-door, 2003 Nissan Maxima and may be similar to the car in the photo. The license plate on the car reads: H836083.

The second stolen car was described a Chevy van with the license plate: G392508.

A description of the offenders was not provided.
