According to police, a 19-year-old man on the 500 block of North Long Avenue in Austin, was shot in the back during a vehicular hijacking. The thief or thieves stole a 2009 silver or gray Mercury Grand Marquis.
The stolen vehicle is a rental car and may be similar to the automobile in the photograph.
The victim is in serious condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.
