A woman phoned police after she and her boyfriend were chased by alleged gang members. The frantic 911 call was placed around 6:58 p.m.
The complainant told police a group of Hispanic men with guns and an Ethiopian man carrying a black backpack, chased her and her beau into a business at 1111 West Berwyn Avenue in Edgewater. An Internet search shows the address belongs to a business called “Fortuna Shoes”.
Before the chase, the offenders yelled “gang slogans”.

WTF? Blacks, Hispanics and now Ethiopian? What's next, someone wearing a burqa? How in the world are we suppose to protect ourselves? I don't go down side streets after dark..seems there's always someone prowling around looking to pounce on innocent people. What a shame! Sure broadcast that the police are going to be sent to the "high crime areas" and look what you get....the crime moves to where they are not and it becomes the high crime area. Thanks to the media for blabbing so the criminals can figure out where to hit next. Nice, real nice!
