Police are investigating the robbery of a downtown Chicago cell phone store.
Around 6 p.m., the T-Mobile store at 14 East Harrison Street was robbed. Police are describing the crime as a “strong-arm robbery”.
No offender information was provided.
At 6:39 p.m., a police evidence technician was asked to process the store for fingerprints.

I heard on the scanner the Cricket store on Fullerton and Leclaire was also robbed. Whats with the cell phone stores? These guys I'm talking about got away with $100.00 dollars. Dude, that's armed robbery... your ass will get 12 years (be out in 6 years) for that shit. Is that worth $100.00 to you?? Youngsters, please learn....
ReplyDeleteCell phone thefts are rampant in Chicago; especially on CTA and downtown. Now the thieves are targeting the cell phone stores.
ReplyDeleteAre they taking phones as well? Maybe their pea brains think people pay their cell phone bills in these stores? Maybe they're just plain clueless...which sounds more likely.
