Child Jumps Out 2nd Floor Window During Domestic Dispute?

The details are extremely sketchy, but I will tell you what I know.

Shortly after 2 a.m., police were called to the 7700 block of West Addison Street in Chicago's Belmont Heights/Dunning neighborhood, on a domestic disturbance call.

At 2:26 a.m., an officer announced over her radio that she needed an ambulance. When police dispatch asked why, the officer said “a child just jumped out a second floor window“.

Police gave an exact address on the 7700 block of West Addison Street, but the address does not belong to two-story building. It belongs to a one-story, single family home.

However, right across the street from that location, there is a three-story building on 7600 block of West Addison Street. More than likely, the child jumped from the window at that address.

As of 3:33 a.m., there were no updates on the child’s condition.

  1. This is tragic! See that's the thing, when "ADULTS" are fighting, they think ONLY of themselves and not a rats ass about the kids. I wonder how old this child was BUT I also wonder why the child would do that. Maybe, when the child's parents are fighting, the chid also gets abused and was afraid that would happen. Children get conditioned by their parents to act & respond a certain way."Adults" start screaming & yelling and kids get scared. Not to mention this child was asleep at 2 am and woke to that nonsense. Pathetic! I hope the child is ok... to hell with the parents!

  2. Very heartbreaking. I don't understand adults who act like fools in front of children. I was hoping one of the major news sites would pick up this story so I could find out what happened.
