A phone card, cell phone, and computer store was burglarized overnight. The robbery, which was caught on camera, was brought to my attention at 3:45 a.m.

Police said a man of unknown race broke into the Discount Phone Card store at 2718 North Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood.

According to an officer on the scene, the suspect stole a “small white box” about the size of a “cell phone”.

The offender was last seen wearing a three-quarter length leather jacket, gloves, a gray hooded sweatshirt, and light colored-pants that were either jogging pants, or tan Khaki trousers.

The officer who reviewed the surveillance footage wasn’t sure about the suspect’s race. But he did say he was certain the man was not African-American.

At 4 a.m., the owner of the store arrived at the scene to assist police.

Investigators also found a screwdriver the suspect probably left behind.
