Middle-age Man Wanted for Robbery in Avondale Neighborhood

A strong armed robbery was reported in the Chicago, Avondale community, early this morning.

The robbery occurred near the intersection of West Belmont Avenue and North Harding Avenue. I became aware of the crime at 12:37 a.m.

The thief was described as an African-American man with a medium complexion, 45 to 50-years-old, 5’6” to 5’8”, and 140 to 150 lbs. He was last seen wearing a ripped, gray t-shirt and sweatpants.

The crook stole a Sprint Samsung Epic 4G cell phone, which is similar to the one in the photo. After the robbery, the offender fled the scene southbound on Harding Avenue.
