Motorcyclist Dies After Accident on Lake Shore Drive

A car and a motorcycle were involved in a deadly car accident on the 4000 block of North Lake Shore Dr., in Chicago's Wrigleyville/Lakeview neighborhood. Reportedly, both vehicles were traveling northbound around 11:45 p.m., when the accident occurred. However, one witness stated that the accident occurred in the southbound lane.
An officer on the scene said the motorcycle was completely destroyed.
At 1:45 a.m., officers were still on scene interview witnesses, including other motorcyclists.
Family and friends of the accident victim converged on Grace and Lake Shore Dr., around 2:11 a.m., trying to get answers from the police on the scene. Based on preliminary information obtained by Chicago New Report, the victim was female. She was also wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The other vehicle involved in the accident was a 2002 Ford Focus with Michigan plates.
