Man Shot in Chicago's Woodlawn Neighborhood

At 11:13 p.m., the staff at St. Bernard’s Hospital notified the police that a gunshot victim was being treated in the ER. According to police dispatch, the shooting was never reported to 911.
The patient told the medical staff the shooting occurred on the 6300 block of South St. Lawrence Ave., in Chicago's Woodlawn neighborhood.
The shooting victim, who was described as a 30-year-old African American man, was shot in his right side and was in stable condition.
He was brought to the hospital by his cousin.
