  1. I saw this guy last night getting carried down the stairs by EMT on a stretcher. That is just awful.

  2. When I learned he died, it compounded the sense of sadness I was already feeling, due to all the bad news this weekend. This has been a very sad Halloween.

  4. Timothy, I'm so sorry you had a bad Halloween. Me too. This man who died was my 22 year old son Michael. He and 7 others were visiting Chicago to see the Bassnecter show. He apparently, along with the 7 others (2 of which were his brothers and 1 was his fiancee) took MOLLY a form of ecstasy, MDMA. They thought it was safe. All over the internet sites tote how safe it is. But my son died. I got that heart wrenching phone call in the early morning hours that every mother dreads. And I had to immediately find a flight to Chicago. He died before I got there. He had renal failure, his core temperature was 108 degrees, his heart eventually stopped. I will miss my son forever and my heart will always be broken I fear. He loved chicago and planned on attending grad school there.

  6. My deepest sorrow to you Susan, this is not the first loss at The Aragon. Back in August another young man overdosed there, I was there. I ended up leaving the venue due to being too hot and missed a good portion of my favorite band in order to have fresh air and cool off. Before I left, I saw people dropping out, some not even due to drugs. It is a VERY hot venue, does not provide ANY ventilation and does not have readily available sources of water. The boy who passed in August also consumed drugs, but I feel the Aragon is the WORST possible place to consume anything, not even alcohol due to dehydration, inadequite ventilation and over heating. The Aragon is a horrible venue and should be shut down. I messaged my favorite band that they should NEVER play there again following the death in August. Lorin is a really good guy who actually addressed this issue instead of ignoring like my favorite band did. I can't imagine your loss, I am the mother of two boys myself. My deepest condolences, Cora
