The guitarist was playfully kicking giant, black balloons into the audience, when he appears to punt a balloon into a little's boys face. The impact knocked the child backwards into the crowd.
Moments later, a staff member rushes the boy to another area of the stage. The child's face appears to be bloodied.
Hammett never stopped playing his guitar.
