Man's property 'stolen' from Lakeview hotel, found at pawn shop

According to a 9:32 a.m. 911 call, a resident at Lakeview's Chateau Hotel, 3838 North Broadway, was a recent burglary victim.

The resident told police he found items that were stolen from his hotel room, at a pawn shop down the street.

The closest pawn shop to the Chateau Hotel is Cash America Pawn, 3900 North Broadway.

The burglary victim wanted the police to assist him with retrieving his property.

    This is sad because the people who live in this roach and bedbug infested dump, have little to begin with and sadly, the other people who live there have no problem breaking into someone else's room and stealing what little belongings they have. I hope this person is able to get their things back.

    I wonder what prompted him to check the pawn shop. I don't think that would have crossed my mind, but it certainly was a good idea.
