VIDEO: West Side burglars caught on tape
Three suspects were caught on tape scaling a fence at an Austin neighborhood auto-parts business on Chicago’s West Side.
It’s unclear when the burglary occurred, but the incident was filmed at Chi-Town Customs at 311 North Cicero Avenue, near Cicero and Fulton.
The surveillance footage was uploaded to YouTube on the 23rd and 24th of January 2012.
One offender, who was caught looking directly into the camera, realized he was being filmed and covered the lens. But it was too late. His image had already been captured.
According to the business owner, the thieves stole several sets of tires and car batteries.
If you recognize these offenders, please contact the police.

DeleteI was shocked to see these young black men doing this. They look as if they work white collar jobs downtown.
ReplyDeleteWell, that camera is PERFECTLY positioned. Almost as if this has happened before, and they know right where to put it...

ReplyDeleteExactly! And what a shock that is - a business in a black neighborhood is used to being a victim of overnight B&E.
Of course, if you visit the website of the business, you will immediately see both why it's in that neighborhood, and why black theives are so attracted to it.
Every picture of a "custom" car they put up is of a POS late 70's or early 80's ghetto sled that's on 24 inch rims with chrome hubcaps. The wheels are clearly worth more than any of the vehicles they're placed on. Some of these "pimped-out rides" have such glaring rust holes you can plainly see them in the pictures.
Stupid nogs
