VIDEO: Off-duty Georgia McDonald's manager accused of punching customer in the face

Allen confronts Schwenker over service dog.
Tiffany Denise Allen, a former Marietta, Georgia McDonald's manager, is accused of punching a customer in the face.

During at July 12, 2011 incident, Jennifer Schwenker, the mother of two autistic boys, brought her children and their service dog, Barkley, to the Marietta McDonald's at 1291 Bells Ferry Road.

Tiffany Denise Allen, an off-duty McDonald's manager, reportedly told Schwenker that her dog was not allowed in the restaurant.

Federal law says service dogs are allowed in all public places, including restaurants.

Interaction between Allen and Schwenker was caught on McDonald's security camera.

News reports claim Allen followed Schwenker to the restroom, but the video I saw, offered no evidence to support that accusation.

Police claim Schwenker accidentally splashed soda on Allen, when she threw her drink on the floor in a panic, after realizing she had lost track of one of her sons.

After being doused with Schwenker's beverage, Allen allegedly followed Schwenker outside and punched her in the face.

Allen has since been fired from McDonald's and police have issued a warrant for her arrest.

My opinion:

Most Internet responses to this story seem to take sides based on race.

However, as someone who has been trained to only look at the facts, I draw lines based on the evidence.

I watched the video twenty times, pausing it and rewinding it, on several occasions.

In my opinion, Schwenker did not accidentally splash Allen with soda. She threw it at her.

The liquid from Schwenker's cup was clearly projected from a standing-height.

If the cup had been tossed on the ground, as Schwenker and police suggested, most of its contents would have hit the floor and the lower part of Allen's body.

Based on what I saw in the McDonald's surveillance video, in addition to the charges brought against Allen, Schwenker should have been charged with assault.

Allen may have been wrong on the law, and if she felt the customer was violating an ordinance, she should have called the police and let them settle matter.

But Allen did not deserve to have a drink thrown in her face over a disagreement.

You've heard my position. Now, watch the video and give me your opinion.

  2. That drink was thrown in that manager's face!!!!!! If the cup had been dropped the soda would have a different trajectory! The charges against the manager are bogus!

  4. A large drink slammed on the ground can project into the air. I doubt that women purposefully threw her drink on 3 blacks and a baby while in an obvious search for her son. The black lady is obviously the aggressor as she walks around with her baby in her arms (typical). This is just another example of the angry black woman who never misses an excuse to put a white woman in her place.

  5. Amazing how many violent incidents are taking place in fast food restaurants like McDonalds. The food is almost as dangerous as the premises!

  8. Obviously Justice has not prevailed but Discrimination has. Some may feel that the female having lost her job (fired) and charged with simple assault and simple battery was Justice... I for one do not feel this was Justice.

I can almost 100 percent, assure anyone that had the roles been reversed, in the case of say a black woman attacked by a white female fast food manager...under the exact same alleged circumstances, the white woman would have NOT been charged with simple assault, simple battery...but with a "hate" crime. Don't think so ? Time will tell.

  9. This is not the full video. Go to bing and find the full video. I have watched this video over and over too. as the woman leaves you can actually see the drink fall AROUND THE CORNER. If you were to throw a drink at some one you would arch it. This drink was dropped. try it out yourself. fling a door open, while holding a dog and purse in one hand a drink in another. IT FELL. Watch it yourself on bing. Watch the drink fall down not up our waist high.
