Columbia College Security Guard Robbed in Front of College Dorm

More disturbing news for Columbia College students concerned with their safety.
At approximately 3:20 a.m., a Columbia College security guard, parked in front of the Columbia College Chicago Residence Center at 731 S. Plymouth Court, was robbed.
The security guard told police two men snatched his 2-way radio, while he was sitting in his patrol car.
The thieves were described as two African-American men. One suspect was wearing a red coat and the other was wearing a black coat. According to the security guard, the offenders fled the scene eastbound toward a nearby Red Line CTA train station.
At 3:31 a.m., a police officer announced that a suspect matching the description of one of the offenders, was apprehended in the Red Line subway.
No additional information was available.
