Car Accident at Belden and Sacramento: Car Meets Tree

Just after 3 a.m., police reported a car accident at the intersection of West Belden Ave. and North Sacramento Ave., on Chicago’s northwest side.

Apparently, several men being pursued by police, crashed their car into a tree at that location. The pursuing officer said he saw 3 Hispanic men fleeing the wrecked vehicle. The suspects were presumably 20 to 30-years-old. One man’s hair was braided.

Records indicate the abandoned vehicle, described as a white jeep, belongs to a woman who lives on the 4300 block of North Fairfield Ave.

Before the car accident, police said a woman called 911, stating the men were following her.
