Police say on Septmeber 9, 2006, Hugo Sanchez and a second suspect, broke into 23-year-old Regina Delosantos' apartment; where at least one of them stabbed her in the face and strangled her to death.
Delosantos' husband was at work when his pregnant wife was murdered.
On Thursday, October 21, 2010, Circuit Judge Amy Bertani-Tomczak, sentenced Sanchez to 35 years behind bars for the brutal crime.
According to Joliet police, Sanchez and the second offender, who has never been caught, stole Delosantos' wallet containing $100.
