Citing police communications, the robbery occurred around 11:30 a.m. near the corner of West Madison and South Leavitt Streets.
According to Google Maps, PNC Bank and a Chicago fire station share that intersection.
Investigators said two black males in their 30s - one approximately 5’8” and the other about 5’11” -- implied they had a gun and stole five brand new iPhones and $200 cash from the victim.
The thieves, who had their faces covered, were last seen running westbound on Madison from Leavitt.
At the time of this report, the crooks were still at large.
