Devion Colford: Missing teen's father is 'done with him'

When some children disappear, their parents couldn't care less.

16-year-old Devion Coldford has been missing since January 3, 2014.

The teen, who was last seen on the 4300 block of South Langley, has dreadlocks, stands about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighs approximately 130 lbs.

Coldford was last seen wearing a gray and white jacket, blue jeans, and black gym shoes.

Information obtained by Chicago News Report indicates although Devion's father, Virges Coldford, knew the teen was missing, nearly two weeks went by before authorities were notified.

On January 8, Devion's father said the boy ran away and he was "done with him."

"My son has run away. I just wish he would be more responsible. His brothers need their papers to go to school. I am done with him," said Virges to his Facebook friends.

According to other information posted online, Virges has anger management issues and he recently attended classes at a "center for nonviolence."

"Well today was my first day at the Center for nonviolence and I have to say that it was a good thing that I am going there. I recently got into it with my ex and had not known how much abuse I was causing because it was not physical. I forgot how much words could hurt someone," said the missing teen's father.

A few weeks before Christmas, Virges was running out of money and questioning the fate of sons, who were about to be returned to their mother.

"I need a job, my school money runs out this semester, my boys are about to go back to their mom, I am stuck in one place and don't know how to move forward. I feel like im running out of options," said Virges in a December 16, 2013, online post.

It sounds like this guy needs help. If you can offer Virges a job, please contact him via his Facebook page.
