Robbery in River West

Wednesday, authorities were looking for a suspect wanted for a robbery in Chicago’s River West Neighborhood.

The incident occurred near the corner of West Chicago Avenue and North Halsted Street, around 8:30 p.m., said police.

The offender was described as a black male, approximately 5’6”, and 18 to 20 years old.

The thief was last seen wearing a black and gray hat and a black puffy jacket.

According to authorities, after the robbery, the crook fled eastbound from Chicago and Halsted, toward Larrabee Street.

The thief stole the victim’s iPhone, said a responding officer.

At the time of this report, it was unclear if a weapon was used during the robbery.

  1. Conceal carry couldn't come soon enough. Blow a couple of these guys heads off when they try to rob people for their phones will be a nicedeterrent
