The victim was located on the 4200 block of North Paulina Street, between Cullom and Berteau Avenues, around 9:48 p.m.
There are few details available, but initial police communications indicated the attack may be connected to a robbery.
However, that information was not confirmed.
A responding officer said the victim was “hurt pretty bad.”
Ambulance 13 transported the injured male to a local hospital.

Wow, awfully close to the Godfather's estate.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous, I'm not sure what happened, but a responding officer asked the police dispatcher to turn off the mobile; which prevents anyone from hearing what he's saying.
ReplyDeleteOfficers normally do that if they are going to describe a gruesome crime scene, or the victim is dead or near death.
If confirmed it was connected to a robbery, please advise. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThat's the alley behind my old apartment building. Neighborhood was feeling less safe so I moved out about a year ago. Definitely some unpleasant people around there who at least claim an affiliation with the Latin Kings.
