  1. Strange as I was just in that area today. For the first time in years I noticed there wasn't that crappy "element" all over, including up/down Bryn Mawr both near and away from the Red Line station. None loitering in droves in front of the stores, nor in them either. Was there a BBQ for them all at the lakefront? Did they leave town for the holiday weekend?

All in all a nice day but guess you should never let your guard down, huh?

  2. The nerds over at everyblock were very concerned when you took a brief break. They seem to think they won some sort of battle with ads disappearing.

  3. Nerds is kinda appropriate. I use the term "dorks". Is there a significant difference?

  5. @1:32pm, I know the dorks at EB rogerspark think that they scared CNR into hiding. However, unlike them, he actually has other things to do then spend all day monitoring the internet. Glad to see you are back CNR.

  7. Correction: tranplants to the city usually consist of people from surrounding Midwest towns such as Michigan, Iowa, Indiana, etc. Once they get here they think they're true urbanites and look down on suburbanites. Poor things. It's a pathetic joke.

  8. CNR cheerleaders, you're glad to have this blog as your justification for your fear and avoidance of and hatred of black people. Seriously, how do the descriptions in these posts help you? You see a description of "black male" and you say, "see, I told you so," and you do everything possible to shun and express your disdain of black people.

    1. CNR hater, why do you have such a problem with reporting the race of criminals?

  9. A nerd is someone with intelligence, but socially inept.
A dork is both of those things with the added problem of being obsessed with something thoroughly obscure.

  10. "I live in a highrise because it's safe". 20 year Bryn Mawr "Historic District" lover and resident. He hadn't a clue about the true history of that Renaissance Building he lived next to and, seriously, said he never even noticed it before.

These wannabe art transplants stick their foot in their mouth everytime they awaken. We're both from the same state you all deplore.

  11. Anon @ 12:15......being SSA myself, I'm more scared of the gay dorks in Edgewater, Uptown, Rogers Park and Flakeview than I am of "black people". I shun the "we love you people" gay dorks (only for a $) even though they have never even interacted with, or even truly encountered them. Madonna and George Clinton fans will never mix other than living in squalor together but separately. Try something else. Try embracing true diversity and lifting yourselves up and.....OUT.......of stupidty and ignorance.
