Citing police dispatch reports, at approximately 8:06 p.m., a white male offender with a shaved head entered Little Jim’s tavern, 3501 North Halsted Street, and tried to sell a handgun to a retired Chicago police officer.
Shortly thereafter, the suspect left the bar and headed northbound on Halsted Street.
At 8:09 p.m., the suspect was in custody.
According to police communications, authorities also recovered a gun.
Oh brother, what next? A 97 lb. shipment of meth was just intercepted. A drug, according to the Trib, that has "hit the gay community hard" (I knew that lack of behavior out there wasn't just the result of "a few too many").
