Cops: Burglar arrested in Lake View

A suspect was arrested after a man broke into a woman’s North Side home in Chicago’s Lake View neighborhood.

Citing police dispatch reports, the burglary occurred on the 3100 block of North Kenmore Avenue, near Kenmore and Belmont, around 3:46 a.m.

The victim woke up just in time to see the intruder running out the back door, said police.

The offender was described as a tall, black male wearing a striped polo shirt and blue jeans.

At 3:51 a.m., police stopped a possible suspect matching the offender’s description on the 3200 block of North Sheffield Avenue.

At 3:57 a.m., the victim identified the possible suspect as the man who broke into her home and the man was placed under arrest.

  4. What a horrible experience for this poor woman! Dysfunctional species get a rise out of this...a real sport. Breaking & Entering must be fun for them. The trill of a kill or rape or robbery.. What sick, sick, sick minds. Unfortunately they are living with us thanks to Section 8.
