Black suspects wanted for purse theft at downtown pizza place

A customer’s purse was stolen from a downtown Chicago restaurant and the thieves tried to use the victim’s credit card, said police.

At approximately 7:49 p.m., a purse was stolen from 730 North Rush Street, near Rush and Superior, according to police dispatch reports.

The address belongs to Giordano’s pizza place.

A female customer went to the restroom and left her purse on the back of her chair… when she returned, her bag was missing, said a responding officer.

Around 7:53 p.m., the victim’s bank informed her that someone tried to use her credit card at the Walgreens at 757 North Michigan Avenue, near Michigan and Chicago Avenues.

The thieves tried to make a $105.00 purchase, said police.

After reviewing Walgreens’ security cameras, the suspects were described as two black females and a black male.

One female offender is about 5’2” and she was wearing a large, yellow straw hat - a pink and yellow dress with flowers on it - and she was carrying a large black purse.

Police said the female in the straw hat tried to use the victim’s stolen credit card.

The other female was wearing a pink shirt and she had a bracelet on her right arm.

The male offender was wearing a white t-shirt with the words, “sit down… master” on it, black and white Jordan gym shoes, and camouflage short pants.

Investigators said a homeless woman saw the thieves go southbound on Michigan Avenue from the Near North Side Walgreens… then westbound toward Superior Street.

At the time of this report, the suspects were still at large.

  1. This has been going on in Chicago since at least 1993 that I am aware of. They stole my sisters purse and, amongst other things, the black females used her non-black i.d. to cash a check at a casino (?!). Collusion at it's finest. She vowed never to return to Chicago, and never did.

When does the Red Line get "repaired" again?

  2. (Oh, and today I saw two world "class" t-shirts being worn by the ever present woe-is-me, I walk with a crutch too, citizens in this city. One read "Where's My Foreskin?" and the other, "I Hate My Baby Momma").

  4. Property left unattended.
If something is valuable, don't leave it unattended.
And if these lowlife thieves are ever prosecuted, nuthin will happen to them.
Does anyone wonder why these "people" are viewed suspiciously by retailers?

  5. Never ever leave your purse unattended ladies. These scum bags are looking for easy targets like that. It is bad enough they will maul you to death for your crap so don't make yourself an even easier mark for them. This is how these animals make their leaving....robbing and stealing from us.

  6. ...and her purse wasn't "unattended". She was at that multi-leveled TGIF's and sitting at in one of the higher levels. It was at her feet, with her foot on the strap. The "females" sitting on the level below her grabbed it through they gate type thing, tussled for it, got it and fled. What was she supposed to do, sit on the d*mn thing while trying to eat?

  7. Again, blame the victim. It's not working well in "boystown" nor Detroit.

And tell those silly chics in Uptown to quit complaining about being raped at 3:00am. They "deserved" it for being there in the first place.
