Amateur video captured the moments after a North Side fire sent 15 people to several local hospitals.

Eight residents, six firefighters, and one Chicago police officer were treated at a local hospital after a fire broke out in a 4-story apartment building on the 6100 block of North Kenmore Avenue, in Edgewater.

The blaze, which was reported around 11 a.m., was struck out at approximately 11:50 a.m., according to the Chicago Tribune.

Eyewitnesses said they saw smoke coming from the second and fourth floors of the apartment complex.

  1. Edgewater is a shithole just like Uptown and Rogers Park! What do you expect? Tyrone was probably barbecuing in the tub!

  2. One of the fires in the past started from some guy looking for something under his bed ----- with lighter.

Accidents happen but there does seem to be a few too many fires in those areas.
