Victims shot on Far South Side, drive to hospital for help

One of two shooting victims was seriously wounded on Chicago’s Far South Side, said police.

Early Monday morning, around 4 a.m., authorities said two people were shot near the 12000 block of South Lowe Avenue, in the city’s West Pullman neighborhood.

The victims, who were apparently shot while seated inside a vehicle, managed to drive to Metrosouth Medical Center in Blue Island, Illinois.

Investigators said a female shooting victim was shot in the right side of her chest and was listed in critical condition.

According to police communications, the victims’ car sustained several bullet holes.
