Police said the incident took place in front of Exodus Lounge, 3477 North Clark Street, around 2:53 a.m.
An officer at the scene described the atmosphere outside the Wrigleyville neighborhood bar as “out of control”.
Northbound and southbound traffic near the popular nightclub was temporarily rerouted as officers dispersed the crowd.
At 3:02 a.m., police requested an ambulance at Addison and Clark Streets after a man reportedly “collapsed”.
It’s unclear if the man’s condition was related to the incident outside Exodus.
At 3:22 a.m., the temporarily closed intersections were reopened to traffic.
There were no reports of any arrests.
