Victim allegedly stabbed in Uptown

A male victim treated at a North Side hospital claims he was stabbed in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood, said authorities.

Monday,April 16, 2012, around 10:20 p.m., a patient, in unknown condition, was being treated for a stab wound at Thorek Hospital, 850 West Irving Park Road.

Investigators said the victim claimed he was attacked near Lawrence and Magnolia Avenues.

However, according to police dispatch, authorities had no record of a stabbing in the area.

No further details are available.
