Cops: Man choked, robbed near Ravenswood park

A man was choked during an early morning robbery in Chicago’s North Side, Ravenswood neighborhood, said police.

The victim was walking on the 2300 block of West Sunnyside Avenue, near Welles Park, around 3:59 a.m., when two men attacked him from behind, said police.

One of the muggers put the victim in a choke hold, said authorities.

The offenders were described as thin male blacks in their 20s with dark complexions.

Both suspects are 5’11” to 6-feet-tall.

Investigators said one thief was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and the other crook was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

The punk in the white sweatshirt had facial hair.

The bandits stole the victim’s cell phone and his debit card, said police.

As of 4:32 a.m., there was no indication any arrests had been made.
