Possible attempted child abduction in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood

Police issued a “flash” after a man allegedly tried to lure a child into his car in Chicago’s West Side, Austin neighborhood.

Around 8:15 p.m., a man reportedly tried to abduct a child on the 500 block of North Central Avenue, said police.

The alleged offender was described as a male black in his 20s, about 5’7” with a light complexion, wearing a shirt with horizontal stripes.

The purported child predator was driving a cream-colored, four-door Toyota, according to the police news flash.

No further details are available.
