Man attacked from behind in Rogers Park alley

Tuesday, several suspects attacked and robbed a man in Chicago’s Rogers Park neighborhood, said police.

Around 7:46 p.m., police responded to the 1400 block of West Jonquil Terrance after a man was robbed in the alley behind that location.

The initial police dispatch report indicated “7 to 10 teenagers jumped a man and took his wallet”.

However, subsequent police communications indicated six suspects were involved in the robbery.

Two of the muggers were described as male blacks 15 to 22-years-old.

Because the victim was attacked from behind, he was able to describe the other offenders, said a responding officer.

The robbers took the victim’s wallet, briefcase, an Apple computer, and an iPhone, said police.

At the time of this report, there was no indication the victim was physically injured.
